MapBud is a Geotech volunteering organization which focuses on OpenStreetMap datasets and various Geospatial domains. It is founded by 3 pioneers advanced OSM mappers from Nepal with the motive to create digital data. Our Mission is to make Nepal fully digital with every piece of quality data available to everyone.
We are in a mission to create a digital profile of Nepal using freely editable map platform i.e. OpenStreetMap. We would be happy to Collaborate with any organizations, studnets club, NGO'S, INGO'S who are willing to create a build a quality data of Nepal. Our Missions:
As Open data is the future in tech industry, MapBud will work to create a open data ecosystem in Nepal.
We are in mission of motivating more than 200 volunteers yearly, mostly University level students to contribute in OpenStreetMap.
MapBud aims produce high quality geodata that could be used by local communities, researchers, students, organisations, government and other concerned authorities for data based decision making.

The mission of creating Digital Nepal is not possible without helping hands that includes the experts in this field, someone to motivate and appreciate our works and advisory team to help throughtout the missions.
Seeing Nepal in a global map has always been a prime goal and motive to contribute in OSM. I am happy and fully support MapBud for initiating an idea of engaging youth in making a Digital Nepal.
The future of Quality geospatial data is the most fundamental requirement in which we can build modern Nepal. On the foundation of complete, open and high quality digital geospatial information only we can achieve sustainable development that we all aspire for.
The future of Open Source is incredibly bright and it's only going to get brighter. The initiative of MapBud to integrate mappers and volunteers from diverse fields towards OpenStreetMap, an open data ecosystem for building a Digital Nepal is really commendable.
Data is power. Besides, OSM data, it's quality is also equally important while contributing in OSM. I support the initiation of MapBud to create digital Nepal and recommend mappers to take part in this initiation.
